Online bookmaking operator Betway has announced a three-year deal as official betting partner for the top drawer German football club Werder Bremen, four-time Bundesliga champions.
Betway already has similar agreements with four Bundesliga 2 clubs – St. Pauli, Union Berlin, Eintracht Braunschweig and Dynamo Dresden.
The new agreement is part of Betway’s commitment to driving brand awareness with major football teams on the continent, as well as its high-profile status in the UK where it has been the principle sponsor of West Ham United since 2015.
In September 2016, Betway also announced a deal to become the official betting partner of Belgian champions RSC Anderlecht and the Croky Cup.
Betway’s marketing and operations director, Anthony Werkman, said Thursday that the Bundesliga is at the forefront of world football.
“With a number of football sponsorships in place, the season ahead is a very exciting one for us. We’re very much looking forward to increasing our involvement in German football, especially with a top club like Bremen as they head into the 2017/18 campaign,” he said.
