Australian online slot developer Big Time Gaming has licensed its patented and trademarked MegaWays™ mechanic to Blueprint Gaming in a first-of-its-kind agreement.
Under the terms, Blueprint Gaming is authorised to design and develop its own games using the MegaWays mechanic which debuted in Big Time Gaming’s Dragon Born over two years ago.
MegaWays™ is a random reel modifier system that allows any given spin to produce a different number of symbols across the reels, allowing players to experience a completely different game with every spin.
The first Blueprint release that will incorporate MegaWays™ is ‘Diamond Mine’, launching in May, followed by ‘Irish Riches Progressive’ later in the year.
Nik Robinson, Big Time Gaming CEO, said: “This is a ground-breaking agreement that stands testament to the highly innovative and unique mechanics we have developed here at Big Time Gaming.
“MegaWays™ is a very successful mechanic and we believe it will eventually dwarf the standard 5×3 format of recent years. We are delighted to be able to share it with Blueprint Gaming and we believe this deal will lay the foundation for similar deals in the future.”
