The Games Company (TGC) has agreed a long-term licensing deal with software specialist Black Cow Technology (Black Cow) for its Open Gaming Architecture (OGA) software which will be used to power TGC’s new remote game server.
According to Black Cow, the open-source built software, with a fully-functioning Games Development Kit, will provide The Games Company with “the most flexible and efficient solution available in the market today”.
“OGA is revolutionising the speed with which game engines can be developed, complex slot engines being completed in just four or five days,” a presser from Black Cow reads.
Hans Winkelmann, CEO of The Games Company, is impressed with the flexibility, efficiency and control OGA provides their development team, saying: “We have worked with a range of different solutions over the years and can say undoubtedly that OGA is the best of its kind. We look forward to working closely with the Black Cow team as we distribute our RGS more widely.”
The Games Company is expected to take its remote game server live during the first quarter of 2017, complete with over 20 games available at launch.
