In a brief industry statement, recreational online poker firm, Bodog, said it will move into the Latin American market with a poker, sports betting and casino offer, initially targeting Brazil and Mexico.
“The LatAm region has long been seen as a growth area for the online gaming industry but we felt leading with poker was the best point of entry as we have made such a strong name for ourselves in this arena,” Ed Pownall, spokesperson for the Bodog brand, said.
The press statement also revealed the recent sale of Bodog’s network to a Hong Kong-based consortium, PayWaingLuo.
