Bodugi.com, a social betting website, launched this week, offering chat facilities linked to Facebook and Twitter, biogs and private messaging,
The business model involves players sitting around virtual tables and predicting – for monetary reward – the outcome of sporting contests.
Punters pay a minimum stake of GBP 5 to participate, and the most accurate predictions win cash prizes, the size of which is dependent on the number of players at the table.
The site should be off to a good start, with the horseracing TV channel Racing UK as a launch partner with the capability to provide wide exposure for both the concept and the website.
“The Bodugi.com offering will change the face of the online gambling industry,” said co-founder Dave Nevison this week. “Our unique game combined with social networking means that Bodugi is perfectly placed to challenge the established players in the sector.”
A Bodugi.com mobile application, available through Symbian, Android and iPhone devices, will be released in April 2011.
