An anonymous largely accurate online football tipster at goaladviser.net has been revealed as 23-year-old law graduate Kimberley Lloyd-Owen.
Lloyd-Owen is a dedicated Cardiff City Bluebirds fan and six-year season ticket holder who says she generated around GBP 150 000 over the past two football seasons by charging users GBP 1 to subscribe to her betting tips on Premier League, Championship and the Champions League matches.
This astute entrepreneur started her online betting business after being inundated by friends asking for tips following her successful predictions and is the brains behind goal adviser.net, reports Wales Online.
Die-hard football fans and punters can be forgiven for assuming Lloyd-Owen, described as an online betting phenomenon, was a former football professional until she came out of anonymity.
Surprised by her success, this young lady estimates her earnings for this season alone to be in the region of GBP 200 000.
Coming out of anonymity has resulted in an increase in customer interest she says, despite her worries that as a female tipster she wouldn’t be taken seriously.
“I was worried how I’d be perceived by current customers. I felt like I had deceived them because I was using ‘his’ a lot. But over the last 24 hours the numbers have hit the roof, we have 100 000 hits on the website now.”
Plans in the pipeline include the continued growth of her successful enterprise along with the release of a Goal Adviser iPhone App that she’s planning for release in March 2013.
