Sports technology company Boom Shakalaka has announced that its Boom Fantasy app launched barely four months ago has achieved number one search status in the App Store following two hundred positive reviews giving it a five-star rating.
The app offers an experience where fans can compete against each other while watching a live event. Instead of drafting a line-up, players make predictions in real time, says Boom Shakalaka chief executive Stephen Murphy.
“Boom isn’t really a daily fantasy app, but rather a completely new way to experience sports. Since the app’s launch, Boom players have placed over 3 million predictions,” he explained.
The rise of the company’s iOS app caps a banner month for Boom; the company also set records for monthly active users, total entries, and new depositors in May.
“We’re heading into the summer with a ton of momentum,” said Assaf Einat, co-founder and CTO of Boom Shakalaka. “We have many fun and innovative features in the pipeline.”
Boom Fantasy can be played for free in all U.S. states. A real-money version is available to residents 18 or older in 30 states.
In addition to the App Store, Boom is available on Android and can be played at the Boom Fantasy website.
