Online and land sports betting group Boyle Sports has a new chief executive following the decision to hand the reins over by founder John Boyle.
According to reports in the Irish Independent, Boyle is to become chairman of the company and over the weekend named his son-in-law, Conor Gray as his successor.
Gray, who is married to Kerry Boyle, has worked in the company since 2001 and began his service as a trainee cashier in a betting shop. He has worked his way up the management ladder with successful tenures in divisions that include IT, trading and digital, and in 2013 represented the company in Asia for a year before returning to Ireland as chief operating officer.
Boyle expressed confidence in Gray’s abilities as a successor “…who brings not only experience and expertise but also a passion for all things related to bookmaking in general and BolyeSports in particular.”
