The regulated online gambling market in the US state of Delaware delivered small but growing revenues in June, according to the latest figures from the state regulator, which reported that over the first six months of the year net revenue topped $1.5 million – a 93 percent year-on-year increase on the $796,908 returned in the first half of 2015.
June 2016 was a particularly good month, the numbers show, at $304,874.30. This is the highest monthly net revenue yet recorded in Delaware online gambling, which has been legalised since 2013. Importantly, it represents an impressive 180 percent growth when compared with June 2015.
All three licensed operators in the state recorded revenue improvements in June 2016, with total online wagers coming in at $8.5 million – up 164 percent year-on-year.
The state’s three licensed operators – Delaware Park, Dover Downs and Harrington Raceway and Casino – all recorded increases in their net revenue for June. $8.18 million was returned to punters in winning pay-outs.
Net revenue generated by video lottery games rose from $45,250.30 in June 2015 to $185,865.96 in June this year, whilst table game net revenue increased to $82,697.39 from $32,811.98 last year, and poker rake and fees grew to $36,310.95…an increase of $5,635.82.
