Bwin expands partnership with German football association

bwin has expanded its relationship with German football association Deutscher Fußball-Bund e.V. (DFB) becoming the association’s first private official sports betting partner.

Under the terms, bwin has secured DFB and national teams advertising rights for the DFB Cup; German third division, 3. Liga and; the Women’s Bundesliga.

The partnership includes perimeter advertising, hospitality, online and offline integration into the respective communication media of the DFB, the national team and associated competitions, as well as use of the corresponding logos in advertising and social media integration.

These rights will run from 1 July 2019 for three seasons until the end of June 2022.

In addition, both parties have agreed an extensive commitment to preventing addiction and to maintaining the integrity of the sport. Both entities will work with experts to develop and intensify their training and prevention programmes to combat gambling and betting addiction, as well as against match fixing.
