Bwin in German handball sponsorship

Online gambling firm bwin.party digital has become an official sponsor of the German handball team THW Kiel until 2014.

The Schleswig-Holstein, Kiel-based team currently competes in the German First League of Handball and is Germany’s champion record-holder with 16 titles.

The strategic partnership will see bwin’s logo displayed on the team’s clothing at all Budesliga and cup matches as well as prominent signage on the goal area’s  floor.

Other marketing and promotional rights include advertisements in the Club magazine, champion and commercial circuits and on video screens in the Sparkassen Arena.

“The brand image, fit and strategy of bwin and THW Kiel fit well together and promise a successful synergy,” said Marcel Klein, marketing director of THW Kiel.
