bwin.party moves to block players from 18 countries

News on 21 Apr 2013

Bwin Party Digital Entertainment’s strategy to abandon legally ‘grey’ markets, announced in its last financial reportage  appears to have been implemented.

Marketing affiliates reported Saturday that they had received an email from the company advising that new sign-ups would be blocked from April 30 2013 onwards, and asking them to take down all promotional and advertising material by that date.

The advisory informed affiliates that existing accounts will remain open and accessible, with affiliate commission paid as usual.

Among the 18 markets specified by Bwin are Armenia, Belarus, Croatia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Greece, Poland, Romania, Cyprus, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
