California online poker and daily fantasy sports: Early moves in 2016

The usually well-informed and reliable Online Poker Report writer Chris Grove has tweeted that the California Assembly’s Government Organisation Committee has scheduled a meeting on the legalisation of online poker, sports betting and daily fantasy sports for January 6 2016, getting the year’s gambling initiatives off to a fast start in California.

The January 6 meeting has also been flagged by Orange County Register reporter Ryan Kartje, who tweeted:

“Looks like Adam Gray’s bill to regulate daily fantasy (AB1437) will be heard and voted on by CA’s GO Committee on Jan. 6. Quick turnaround.”
