114 Indonesian nationals were reportedly arrested by Cambodian authorities this week and are facing charges of running illegal online gambling according to AFP.
The alleged online football betting ring involved 90 men and 24 women operating from two residences in the capital city of Phnom Penh.
Chhay Sinarith of the Cambodian Interior Ministry said the group was charged with taking bets on football matches from Indonesian residents and conducting proceeds through online bank accounts.
Further investigations into the betting ring are ongoing.
