CAMS, the U.S. software-as-a-service provider and Verifi subsidiary, has been selected by Kalixa Group, to serve as the company’s preferred gateway provider for North America.
CAMS will provide services that enable Kalixa to connect with multiple domestic banks in order to process payments for its merchant customers. CAMS provides a full payment service for online merchants including payment processing, Know Your Customer processing, risk management and fraud detection.
“This is another significant step in the development of a regulated and licensed internet gambling industry within the US,” said Matthew Katz, chief executive at CAMS. “Our partnership with Kalixa will prove that companies with the right technologies and pedigree can help drive this nascent industry.”
Ed Chandler, CEO of Kalixa said that CAMS had been selected after an exhaustive vetting process. “CAMS came out on top as the clear leader. We look forward to working with them to deliver compelling payment experiences for our customers,” he said.
In related news, Kalixa announced Wednesday that the Italian gambling giant Sisal has signed up for its services.
Kalixa will process payments through Sisal via its integrated platform, allowing customers to use deposit payment methods such as PayPal and Paysafecard and move funds from their gaming accounts into their Visa, MasterCard or PayPal accounts.
Kalixa said that it would also assist Sisal in meeting the Italian regulator’s compliance requirements by minimising risk and enhancing security measures.
Last year, Kalixa processed transactions worth Euro 2.6 billion for more than 300 merchants and supported 200 payment methods.
