The not-too-subtle Bellagio robber who charged into the famous casino, grabbed $1.5 million worth of chips and escaped on a motorcycle last December , has been sentenced by a Nevada court to up to 11 years in prison.
Anthony Carleo faced a judge on Tuesday on charges of felony armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon in the December heist, in which he waved a firearm around and grabbed high value chips from a craps table, subsequently trying to sell some of them via the Internet.
His sentence includes at least three years in jail after he was credited with the 202 days he has already spent under arrest. Most of the chips were recovered.
Carleo is not done yet; sentencing is also pending on an earlier robbery at the Suncoast casino in Las Vegas.
