The owners of Casino Saga, an online company developed by the same innovative team that created Casumo, is to rebrand next month to Casino Heroes following a “request” from the King group, which operates the massive Candy Crush Saga franchise.
The title Casino Saga was appropriate to the theme of the online casino, which features hero avatars embarking on Scandinavian style sagas and adventures across a fantasy world of islands. However, the owners have noted that to avoid a difficult and expensive legal dispute a decision has been made to rebrand to the still-appropriate Casino Heroes title.
The move, scheduled for August 3, is a purely rebranding initiative and will not impact on players’ log-ins or account balances.
Casino Saga chief executive Magnus Alebo said he was pleased to have reached an agreement with King.
“We have decided to focus on our global expansion and on creating even more excitement for our customers, not spend more time and money on legal discussions,” he observed.
