Chinese police report online sports betting bust

Police in the Chinese city of Shenzhen have reported raiding and dismantling an illegal online sports betting operation taking bets on the World Cup football championship.

Seven individuals have been arrested in connection with the ring, which police claim took in around 100 million yuan (about 15.1 million U.S. dollars).
