The industry’s top conference and expo organiser, Clarion Gaming has been sold to a UK private equity firm, Provindence Equity, for GBP 200 million.
Reporting on the deal, Exhibition News said the consideration represented a GBP 80 million profit on the price paid for Clarion by private equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson six years ago.
Clarion is not solely focused on the gambling industry; it also organises over 200 shows and conferences in the security, energy and telecommunications industries, along with consumer events addressing housing and travel.
