Online gambling group 666BET has issued a public statement bringing clarity to reports over the weekend of a split with former platform Novigroup (see previous reports).
Over the weekend a 666BET spokesman said that there were circumstances that did not permit him to comment on the split, and Novigroup have been similarly reticent on the issue.
In a statement Monday, 666BET revealed that is has migrated its online sportsbook to the BetConstruct platform and its internet casino to EveryMatrix.
666BET, which acquired MetroPlay from DMG Media in September, will now operate under MetroPlay’s Alderney gaming licence, the statement added.
Barry Martin, CEO of 666BET, commented:
“This is the next stage in the development of 666BET. We launched with Novigroup back in June, but their platform is quite small and has struggled to cope with the number of players that have come in through 666BET.
“The acquisition of MetroPlay was a game changer for us and it made sense to move 666BET’s casino platform to EveryMatrix. We saw a number of sportsbook providers as well and we were really impressed with BetConstruct.
“We are now in a position where we have a bigger platform and a better, more engaging website for our players. It is our aim to become a tier one operator and we now have the platform to achieve that.”
