Codere in the cloud with Telefonica

Spanish operator Codere has taken its digital business into the Cloud with Telefónica and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) becoming the first user of the new ‘Microsoft Azure Stack as a Service’ (MASaaS) solution.

“More and more companies are asking us for solutions hosted and managed in their own data centers, the same simplicity or minimum degree of management provided by public clouds, with our leading technologies,” Lluis Martínez, HPE VP Enterprise Account Executive for Telefónica, said.

The solution gives Codere a real ‘on-premises’ and fully managed private cloud, tailored to their needs and managed in service mode through the Azure Stack Portal, freeing the firms resources from having to manage other system processes such as monitoring, operation and administration.

The solution operates as if a ‘public cloud’ on a monthly subscription as a service, allowing Codere to optimise and adapt its security systems according to the rules and regulations of the sector, save costs, access stored data with agility and have an updated infrastructure associated with the service it provides.

This solution, which is a Pioneer for both Telefónica and HPE, has the highest level of security and has been fully operational since the end of January 2019,” Enrique González Lezana, Head of Cloud Services Marketing at Telefónica, added.
