The Australian government’s recently passed Interactive Gambling Amendment Act, which effectively bans online casino and poker activity in the country (see previous reports) has claimed another victim; the Malta and UK licensed Codeta online casino is to join the growing number of operators who have decided to leave the Australian market.
Last week Codeta communicated with its affiliate marketers advising them that it would be closing its virtual doors on September 15, after which no deposits would be accepted from players.
The communication requested affiliates to cease all Codeta promotional activity in Australia, and advised that players would be asked to draw any positive balances in their player accounts by September 14.
