Gambling software supplier Corredor Empresarial S.A. was the winning bidder chosen by Colombian gaming regulator ColJuegos earlier this week to operate a state-owned pari-mutuel betting and gaming site for the next five years.
The concession contract will be drafted in the next few days followed by a pre-operations phase which would include the implementation of processes, safeguards, technical readiness and registration.
“The introduction of new games is essential to grow this income to benefit the health of all Colombians,” Finance Minister Mauricio Cardenas said.
ColJuegos said 24 percent of gross sales would be allocated to the Colombian public health sector, which it estimates to be in the region of COP $ 50 Billion (GBP 15.5 million).
