Coljuegos warns against illegal operators

Colombian regulator Coljuegos has warned of an increase in unlicensed online betting companies targeting the Colombian market as FIFA World Cup Russia nears kick-off.

Only seven companies have been accredited to offer their services in the market, namely: Wplay.co, Betplay.com.co, Zamba.co, Colbet.co, Codere.com.co, Mijugada.co and Masgol.co with another thirteen expected to be operating in the market by the end of 2018.

Coljuegos warned punters of the risks of wagering with unlicensed operators saying: “It is worth noting that the concession contract requires online betting operators return around 15 percent of income to Coljuegos as exploitation rights and guarantees they will always have the resources to pay winners.”
