The independent remote gambling regulatory adviser and testing agency eCOGRA has been accredited by the Republic of Croatia, the twelfth European licensing and regulatory jurisdiction to do so.
eCOGRA currently has advisory, monitoring, audit and testing arrangements with a significant portion of Europe’s major remote gambling groups operating under licenses issued by Alderney, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark (all 5 certification categories), Estonia, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Spain (both testing categories) and the United Kingdom.
The testing agency’s clients include bet365, Unibet, bwin.party, 32Red, 888, Betway, Apollo Entertainment, GM Gaming, Betclic Everest, Alands Penningautomatforening, Microgaming and Net Entertainment.
Commenting on the Croatian accreditation, eCOGRA chief executive Andrew Beveridge said that it was the end product of close liaison and hard work by his professional staff and the licensing authority, and was achieved after a stringent review of the eCOGRA systems and professional capabilities by Croatian Ministry of Finance officials.
“This is the twelfth European regulatory jurisdiction to acknowledge our suitability as a testing agency, which widens our value to clients in the sphere of professional regulatory advice and testing. We are now servicing a large percentage of the industry’s major remote gambling operators and software suppliers, licensed across multiple jurisdictions,” he said.
“We will continue to seek accreditation in licensing jurisdictions viewed by our clients as important to ensure that they are properly certified in their target markets.”
Founded in 2003 to set and improve operational standards and player safety in the remote gambling space, London-based eCOGRA is an accredited testing agency with a growing number of jurisdictions, and has been awarded the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) ISO approval ISO/IEC 17025:2005 : General Requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
This accreditation is one of the quality assurance requirements for approval as a testing agency in various European remote gambling licensing jurisdictions.
