Crown dips its toe in the social gaming sector

Australian entertainment firm Crown Resorts has acquired a 60 percent interest in Texas-based DGN Games LLC for a US$ 27.5 million consideration.

In addition to the consideration, Crown will boost the social gaming company’s growth strategy with a US$ 5 million cash injection.

“It’s early days for us, but we think the social gaming space is a relatively high growth market,” Ken Barton, chief financial officer for Crown Resorts said.
