James Curwen, chief gaming officer at Superbet in Gibraltar has departed after a year in-post to concentrate on the further progress of Golden Rock Studios, a Gibraltar-based games development enterprise which he founded at the end of 2017 with former William Hill colleague Will Mathieson, who is credited with building a series of top slot games over the past seven years (see previous reports).
Curwen has taken up CEO responsibilities at the development studio, joining Mathieson and a team of specialists who are targeting all areas of the business be it UX and UI, design, marketing, product or commercial management.
There has been industry speculation that Gibraltar-based Superbet (the company originated in Romania) is invested in the project.
