The Leicester City football club website carried a notification Thursday confirming that the club and online sports betting operator Dafabet are to partner in a two-year deal that designates Dafabet as the club’s official betting partner.
The statement notes that the deal enables the club to build its international profile, and assists Dafabet ion engaging with club fans and reinforcing Dafabet’s reputation within the international football sector.
Premier League football at King Power Stadium will give Dafabet a global platform to grow that will be supported with branding across LED advertising boards and interview backdrops within the ground.
John Cruces, head of sports marketing and sponsorship at Dafabet, said:
“As we enter the start of the 2017/18 season, we’re very happy to have now partnered up with Leicester City. Everyone is aware the Club are one of the six teams to have won the Premier League, the most watched football league in the world. What many won’t know is the level of support worldwide they’re now attracting is one of the fastest growing in the game.”
Leicester City’s head of partnership engagement, Harj Hir, said: “We have a fan base of more than 10,000,000 supporters around the globe on our social media channels – the seventh largest in the Premier League, and in partnership with Dafabet, we look forward to using this platform to work together towards achieving our collective goals through engagement.”
Dafabet also has sponsorship agreements with Celtic, Burnley, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers, as well as being title sponsors of the Masters Snooker tournament.
In related news, the West Brom football club’s website has announced the club’s first shirt-sleeve sponsorship deal with in-game online betting operator 12BET.
The deal will see the 12BET logo on shirts for this season’s Premier League campaign and on the Baggies’ training wear.
