State-controlled Danske Spil and Openbet have inked a deal that will provide the Danish gaming operator with a new sports betting platform.
Openbet’s selection was made following a tender process and the new platform is scheduled for launch in the first half of 2013 followed by upgraded or new platforms for other game offerings.
“We have fared very well in the sports betting market since the introduction of the new Gaming Act on first January this year. With Openbets platform, we are strengthening our sports games further with a significantly broader range of games and improved game features both before and during sports matches. It is our clear ambition, also on sports games, to be competitive at the highest level,” said Jens Aaløse, chief executive officer of Danske Spil.
