Online gambling in Delaware took off in September despite the delays in launching state single game sports wagering; the Delaware Lottery posted numbers which showed that overall online revenue almost doubled year-on-year to $337,000.
Officials reported that September’s revenue count is the highest so far this year and overtook the previous record $304,874 achieved back in June 2016, with table games delivering particularly good returns by rising three-fold.
And as a welcome change, online poker was up $2,622 year-on-year at $21,464.
The state’s three racinos – Delaware Park, Dover Downs and Harrington Raceway – all reported year-on-year gains in September, with Delaware Park out in front with a 96 percent improvement to $171,480, whilst Dover Downs doubled revenue to 127,560 and Harrington posted a 91.4 percent rise to $37,971.
