The latest online gambling numbers from the Delaware Lottery show that in June online poker delivered a small y-o-y gain, but internet casino gambling declined.
The state’s three online poker providers took in $30,675, a 21.8 percent decline on the preceding month’s $39,245, but an almost 20 percent increase when compared with June 2014, when revenues slumped to an all-time low of $25,607.
That makes for a half yearly picture of three months of positive revenue, but three months in the red.
On the internet casino front $108,692 was collected in June – down 18.7 percent on the preceding month’s $133,697. On a year-on-year basis, June 2015 was well down – by 42 percent – on the $187,332 generated in June 2014.
Player registrations in June were slightly lower than in May at 301, bringing to 11,000 the number of players who have registered in the state since online gambling was legalised. That’s a small percentage of the state’s just under one million population.
