More delays for Ladbrokes in Mexico

Ladbrokes ambitions to have a Mexican sports betting site operational in time for the World Cup football kick-off this week have been thwarted due to regulatory issues involved in taking the Sportium.mx site live.

The land and online betting company has not been specific in identifying what issues are involved, and management does not seem overly concerned at the delay.

The new target for the Sportium launch is now September, when the group hopes to exploit betting on the US National Football League season.
