New Jersey-based fantasy sports operator TradeSports has shutdown saying it will focus on opportunities other than daily fantasy sports (DFS).
A lack of business and recent events in the daily fantasy sports industry have been attributed to the decision.
“Put simply: We aren’t making enough money, and it’s now going to be much harder to do so in the future,” a customer statement said.
TradeSports will close operations on November 30, players are urged to request a final withdrawal of their funds no later than December 4, 2015.
“We’re still enthusiastic about our game and other innovations we had in the works, so if an opportunity presents itself to re-approach the market – we are definitely ready, willing, and able,” the statement concluded.
