DFS firms to address Massachusetts regulator

Daily fantasy sports companies will address Massachusetts gambling regulators in an informative forum Thursday, with market leaders DraftKings and FanDuel both on the speaking list.

The Associated Press news agency reports that former state Attorney General and Democratic candidate for governor Martha Coakley is among those expected to speak in her capacity as legal counsel to DraftKings.

Coakley’s successor, Massachusetts AG Maura Healey, has proposed what she claims is a first-in-the-nation plan to regulate DFS activity by imposing age and advertising restrictions, disclosure requirements and other new rules.
