Alabama legislators in the State House have progressed the debate on whether fantasy sports betting should be legalised and regulated, passing the bill with a close vote of 43-38 on Tuesday.
The bill will move to the State Senate and is expected to be up for further vigorous scrutiny, industry pundits predict.
In related news, the State of Arkansas became the latest, and 11th, U.S. state to approve daily fantasy sports following Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson’s signing off of bill H2250.
