The Office of the Vermont Attorney General published a customer notification from Scientific Games’ Don Best subsidiary last week informing of a Consumer Data Breach that took place in October 2018.
The customer letter details “the unauthorized disclosure of some of your personal information,” and expresses the company’s deep regret of the incident.
The malware attack which occurred from 12 October 2018 to 28 October 2018 reportedly came to light during Don Best’s integration with Scientific Games on December 21, 2018.
Don Best said customers personal details including user names and passwords had been compromised but that credit card details had not.
The company moved to assure customers that the malware had been removed and further steps had been taken to improve the security of the network. In addition all passwords had been reset.
