IGT‘s Facebook-based social casino subsidiary DoubleDown Interactive has announced a deal with the US-based company Spriza Inc. that will see it offering social gaming punters an online lottery with travel and other prizes.
Through Spriza’s proprietary online contest management platform, DoubleDown Casino will run a contest where participants can win a grand prize for four to any location in the US (including Hawaii and Alaska).
The prize includes airfare, 5 nights accommodation, transportation and an allowance of $5,000, and is accompanied by a secondary prize for one winner that includes a gift card for $2,000. A third prize will see 10 people each win a 100 million chip package to play at DoubleDown Casino.
Each participant who enters the contest will also have the chance to win a 2 night stay at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The contest is open to residents of the United States and Canada and will be seeded by notices to over 10 million active subscribers using both desktop and mobile devices.
Lee Borschowa, Spriza’s international business development executive, said this week:
“DoubleDown Casino is one of the largest, if not the largest social gaming company on the planet. Our contest management platform is the perfect vehicle for them to not only retain current players, but also for new player acquisition.”
The contest will launch in early 2015 and run for 30 days. The competition will also be available on the DoubleDown Casino site, and through mobile applications to the casino’s approximately 2.1 million daily players.
