Draftkings eyes West Coast sports betting markets

Former DFS but increasingly sports betting focused DraftKings has revealed that it has opened a 10-person, predominantly marketing office in San Francisco and has plans for a similar presence in Las Vegas.

Explaining the Boston-headquartered company’s growing focus on the US West Coast, DraftKings chief revenue officer Matt Kalish said: “Presence in these international hubs of technology and gaming, respectively, allows us access to a tremendous talent pool and strengthens our position as leaders in this dynamic industry.”

The company employs over 500 people at its Boston headquarters and has plans to increase headcount by 75 percent over the next 12 to 18 months. The headquarters floor space is set to almost double when the company moves to new premises in Boston early next year.
