Boston-based daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings has begun securing sponsorships relevant to the UK market as it anticipates the imminent launch of operations in the country.
High profile Premier League football clubs Watford, Arsenal and Liverpool have succumbed to DraftKings’ persuasive offer, the cost of which has not been disclosed.
Under the terms of the agreements, DraftKings will gain a strong brand presence almost immediately through marketing activities across the club’s digital and social channels and in-stadia.
Promotional activities will see fans in line to win unique club experiences, match day tickets and other exclusive prizes .
“Our ambition is to bring players as close to the action as possible, with all the information they need to assemble the best teams. To do that, we are partnering with some of the biggest names in football here in the UK,” Jason Robins, co-founder and chief executive of DraftKings said.
