The independent television advertising monitor iSpotTV reports that daily fantasy sport provider DraftKings continues to spend big, over the last seven days investing $15.93 million – an average of over $2 million a day – and more than the previous week (see earlier reports).
This sort of marketing investment positions the DFS operator up among giants like Ford, McDonalds and T-Mobile, and represents a massive increase over its 2014 investments in advertising.
DraftKings and FanDuel are the current market leaders in DFS and both have boosted adspend dramatically in a bid to acquire players and market share, especially with the new NFL season about to start.
The latest DraftKings television advert can be previewed here – if the voice-over sounds familiar that’s because it is provided by movie star Edward Norton.
