eSports declared a medal sport for next Southeast Asia Games

A meeting of the SEA Games Federation Council has approved the inclusion of eSports as a Category 3 sport for the next edition of the Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines.
The vertical will rank alongside other interesting sports such as Jiujitsu, Kickboxing, Netball, Obstacle Course and Underwater Hockey as medal sports.
eSports will become an event in Category 3, along with some other interesting, but less practiced sports such as Jiujitsu, Kickboxing, Netball, Obstacle Course and Underwater Hockey.
