The OTCQB-listed eSports betting start-up VGambling.net has announced that it has made an offer to purchase the Grand Princess Casino in Antigua with the intention of converting the property into a venue where eSports events can be held.
VGambling CEO Grant Johnson said that the 3-storey, 62,000 sq ft casino can be modified to hold 1,500 spectators who will watch major live eSport competitions being played and streamed around the globe.
The second floor of the property additionally has the capability to provide up to 200 visitors with the opportunity to participate in video game tournaments on the second floor, all under the eSports Coliseum brand.
VGambling has hired AGORACOM Investor Relations to provide online investor relations services as it seeks more shareholder involvement.
“The last year has been exciting and productive, and we will continue to execute our business plan with the goal of becoming a leader in the eSports wagering sector,” said Johnson in a press statement this week.
“We are especially excited about moving forward with the acquisition of the Grand Princess Casino in Antigua and executing our plan to convert it into a dedicated eSports facility, ideally positioned in Caribbean to attract eSports enthusiasts from around the world.”
