EveryMatrix has announced the launch of Spearhead Studios, which is set to extend the company’s commercial activity into the gaming development vertical. The new game studio is formed from an existing, experienced, and talented team and was recently acquired from Gaming Innovation Group.
Based in Marbella, Spain, Spearhead Studios is led by iGaming veteran Mathias Larsson, former Managing Director at GiG Games. Larsson has over 11 years of management experience within the iGaming industry, gained from founding XIN Gaming and working for established names such as Ezugi and HoGaming.
The studio’s in-house capabilities consist of game concept design, JavaScript game development, digital artist production, animation, UI/X design, audio production, gameplay testing/QA, certification and localisation.
Commenting on the launch of Spearhead Studios, Ebbe Groes, Group Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder, said: “EveryMatrix is an established B2B brand and entering the game development sector was something which we wanted to do for some time now. Having a creative gaming studio led by a brilliant executive such as Mathias Larsson sets EveryMatrix apart in this competitive industry and we are confident that this combo is going to serve our clients and partners very well.
“The background for this acquisition is the tremendous success of our CasinoEngine product, which has strong synergies to Spearhead. However, we will keep the studio activity highly independent, winning market share on its own merits while staying true to our principles of full transparency and maximum coverage in CasinoEngine!”
Mathias Larsson, Managing Director of Spearhead Studios, commented: “I’m very excited to play a part in the launch of Spearhead Studios and continue the work we’ve already started. We have a very talented and highly skilled team which will prove successful in the years to come. Being part of such a thriving company as EveryMatrix will strengthen our offering to the market and will help Spearhead reach a bigger audience.”
Spearhead Studios’ team previously created Book of Souls which enjoyed over twenty million game rounds in the first ten months post-launch. Plans for the next period include finishing multiple video slots projects and releasing table games such as Blackjack and Roulette.
