Network and applications provider Exponential-e will be providing internet gaming firm Bet365 with an “extremely fast, high-bandwidth corporate network” to assist in managing the vast amounts of data generated by Bet365’s In-Play betting system.
Bet365’s In-Play betting enables users to place bets on the outcome of specific events that take place while a sport is in progress. As such, its success depends on the delivery of a continuous stream of real-time information to users, whilst simultaneously being able to receive and process a large amount of incoming customer data.
Bet365’s two technology centres will connect into Exponential-e’s network creating three sites that are able to operate as a single system – “which means that its business has an added safety net of immediate recovery should any point fail,” said Mukesh Bavisi, Managing Director, Exponential-e.
“In-Play betting is a game of low latency and high availability on a massive scale,” said Chris Tolson, Chief Platform Architect, bet365. “We need partners that can help us deliver data in near real-time whilst offering the scale necessary to meet the demand for our services. Exponential-e fit the bill.”
