DFS market leader FanDuel has announced that its nascent sports betting platform is to form the basis for a supply deal with West Virginia’s Greenbrier Resort, providing retail, online, and mobile sports wagering services.
FanDuel CEO Matt King said in a press release this week:
“We are honored to be chosen to provide sports wagering services at The Greenbrier, an iconic resort in the U.S. As we work towards building out a top sports betting product for the upcoming NFL season, we look forward to bringing West Virginia residents, sports fans, and visitors to The Greenbrier the best interactive sports experience on the market.”
The details on the products will be tailored to meet the still developing regulations drafted by the West Virginia Lottery Commission, but are expected to follow the broad intrastate template adopted by other US states, with punters within the state authorised to use the FanDuel app at the Greenbrier land casino, along with the state’s four racinos
The companies are hoping to launch betting services by this autumn, but this is again contingent on the progress made on regulations by the state lottery commission.
