A fire in the roof of the 4,000 room Bellagio casino resort in Las Vegas generated plenty of social media comment Thursday night.
Early reports suggest that the fire was confined to a relatively small section of the roof on the south side of the complex and started around 10.40 pm, with the cause at present unknown.
The fire brigade was called and almost 80 firefighters arrived very quickly, putting out the fire by just after 11pm.
“Firefighting efforts were extremely difficult due to the location of the fire and access to the location,” assistant chief Larry Haydu of the CCFD said.
