Football INDEX, a tradable football stock market where punters can buy and sell virtual shares in the world’s top 200 footballer players using real money, has raised GBP 400,000 of its GBP 800,000 target through crowd funding platform Seedrs.
“We believe the Product fills a vacant space between two massive markets with huge followings – football sports betting and fantasy football – but has advantages over both in certain respects,” Adam Cole, chief executive officer of Football Index said.
Players will be required to deposit a minimum of GBP 10 to participate in Football Index with shares in well-known footballers starting from around GBP 1.
The fund raising round closes in June.
