Siddharth Jain, Suraj Nalin and Preeti Reddy, formerly game developers with social gaming giant Zynga, have launched their own company in India with investment funding from IDG Ventures and former senior Zynga exec Yezdi Lashkari.
Titled PlaySimple, the start-up plans to develop innovative mobile games for the online social and casual market, building a business to compete with more established global gaming firms.
The former Zynga trio has solid experience, having worked on projects like Mafia Wars and Bubble Safari.
IDG exec Karthik Prabhakar told The Times of India that new games that appeal to the market tend to take off quickly, rapidly achieving business profitability.
“The team at PlaySimple is young and highly experienced in building and scaling mobile games for the global markets,” he noted.
