The Central European online and land betting group Fortuna Entertainment Group (Fortuna), which focuses on the gambling markets of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary announced selected key performance indicators for the year ended 31 December 2010, this week.
A company spokesman said the preliminary figures are in line with the company’s expectations and confirm a growing performance of Fortuna in the betting business on all relevant markets.
Main goals of the Company for this year are the expansion of the current retail network; the development of online betting – if supported by the legislation changes in Poland; and the start of a lottery project in the Czech Republic.
Key Performance Indicators:
– Euro 93 million in gross winnings reflecting an increase of 9 percent (2009: Euro 85 million).
– Total amounts staked grew 14 percent to Euro 384 million (2009: Euro 338 million).
The recorded key economic indicators of the Company are very positive. We are pleased that we kept the commitment given to investors during the IPO and maintained the dynamics of growth for the full year 2010,” said Fortuna Entertainment Group CEO Jiří Bunda.
The group will publish its full financial results in greater detail in March 2011.
