The attempt by the State of Kentucky to seize international domains belonging to online gambling companies has been delayed for a further 30 days while the vexed question of legal standing is considered by the court.
Over the past two years the Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association (IMEGA), and lawyers representing the State have fought through a series of Kentucky courts with one of the main areas of contention being the question of whether IMEGA has standing (i.e. can claim to be representative of domain owners) in the proceedings.
This week the courts imposed an Order of Obeyance for 30 days whilst it again considered the question of standing.
